“That’s a beautiful man”: Jacob Elordi reveals first celebrity crush

You will never guess which famous actor caught a young Jacob Elordi’s eye?

The Euphoria star revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he used to have a crush on Brad Pitt because he is a “beautiful man” (arguably, not wrong).

Playing ‘Tonight Show First’s’, Jacob was asked about “the first time doing some things”.

He revealed his first concert was Eminem at the age of 14, where he slept overnight outside the show with his mum so he could be front row of the barrier.

Then Fallon asked “first celebrity crush?” and with no hesitation, beside a slight cough to clear the throat, Elordi responded with “Brad Pitt.” To which Fallon chuckled and agreed: “Yeah I think we all do.”

“Yeah in Troy,” Elordi went on to explain. “That’s a beautiful man. There is no denying it.”

Elordi is set to star in queer thriller Saltburn alongside co-star Barry Keoghan. Saltburn is a “beautifully wicked tale of privilege and desire” that is directed by Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman).

The film has been described as a “story of obsession”. The story follows Oliver Quick (Keoghan), an Oxford student on a journey of self discovery in the early 2000s. During his studies he meets aristocratic and captivating Felix Catton (Elordi), “who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten.”

Fennel spoke about the upcoming release in an interview with British Vogue, teasing: “I wanted to make something sexy. I wanted to make something about boys. I wanted to make something that felt very different to the last thing I made.

“And, honestly, my favourite genre slash subgenre of anything is: something happens in a country house one summer.”

Towards the end of her statement, the Oscar-winning screenwriter said the film is about “first love”.

“Generally, because I’m quite facile, I think everything has to do with sex, and I think our fetishization of the country house and titles is completely sadomasochistic,” she added.

“I’m utterly obsessed with how we relate to things that we want and desire, and also kind of hate and know are unattainable: things that we know will never love us back, whether that’s a person or a house or a culture. And yet we can’t f**king stop being desperately attached to them.”

Saltburn’s ensemble cast also includes Rosamund Pike as Elsbeth Catton, Richard E. Grant as Sir James Catton, Alison Oliver as Venetia Catton, Archie Madekwe as Farleigh Start and Carey Mulligan as “Poor Dear” Pamela.

More stars incoming: Paul Rhys as Duncan, Lolly Adefope as Lady Daphne, Ewan Mitchell as Michael Gavey, Sadie Soverall as Annabel, Millie Kent as India and Reece Shearsmith as Professor Ware.

Saltburn premiered in August at the 50th Telluride Film Festival, before playing at the 67th BFI London Film Festival at the beginning of October.

It is scheduled to land in cinemas in the UK and Ireland on 17 November.
