“I’m so obsessed!”: Drag Race UK fans are saying the same thing about latest episode

This week’s Drag Race UK episode featured a Halloween-themed challenge, and fans are absolutely obsessed.

Spoilers ahead.

Following Dita Garbo’s emotional exit, the 10 remaining queens returned to the workroom to go over last week’s events.

Since the Folkstone-based queen was the first queen to be eliminated, some of the ladies reflected on the high stakes of the competition.

“I feel awful because she was in our team. Like, should we have done more? And it’s just really kicked in that the first queen has been eliminated,” Charra Tea said in a confessional.

Kiki Snatch, who performed against Dita, echoed similar sentiments, opening up about the differences between lip syncing for the win and lip syncing for your life.

“Your lip sync for the win that must have felt exhilarating. This does not feel good at all,” she explained. “[Dita] should be immensely proud.”

While many of the queens were emotional about Dita’s exit, Kyran Thrax had a different outlook.

“It feels a bit sad because we just lost Dita, but also, like, she’s not dead. It’s fine. So, on the outside, I’m like, ‘Oh, oh!’ But I just won my second badge. So, in my head right now, I’m like, “Gahhhhhhhh,’” she explained.

The next day, the ladies met up with RuPaul to tackle their next challenge of the competition.

“My queens, for generations, the UK has been obsessed with the battle for the Christmas number one. Well, here at RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, we’d like to start a new tradition,” the Queen of Drag explained.

“So, this year, it’s all about the battle for the Halloween number one. For this week’s maxi-challenge, you’ll form two ghoul groups. Now, each group will perform the new goth pop smash ‘Dead or Alive.’”

Like previous girl group challenges, the queens were tasked with writing their own verses and creating choreography.

Ru then placed Charra, Rileasa Slaves, Lill, Kiki, and La Voix into ‘Ghoul Group One,’ resulting in Chanel O’Conor, Zahirah Zapanta, Marmalade, Actavia and Kyran as ‘Ghoul Group Two.’

With their groups assigned, the ladies hit the ground running on their spooktacular performances. While they didn’t get a choice in the matter, the queens had little to no issues with their respective teams.

“Things are kind of, like, moving really smooth with us. And like, I mean… huh? This is Drag Race, like, am I getting too comfortable?” Risleasa said in a confessional. “It feels good, but should I be worried?”

After listening to the track, the two groups decided on their names, with Ghoul Group One coming up with The Things and Ghoul Group Two landing on Dracula’s Child.

While creating their respective lyrics, Chanel struggled to put her ideas to paper, which garnered the attention of her group members.

“Can I sing? Can I dance? Can I write lyrics? Can someone pack my bags already, I am terrified,” she exclaimed in a confessional. “Not looking forward to this is the understatement of the century.”

Following their writing session, the two teams recorded their ghoultastic verses with recording artist and X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke before coming up with their dynamic choreography.

During Dracula’s Child rehearsal, the team struggled to unify their creative interests, with Actavia, Kyran and Zahirah thriving with their dance moves while Chanel and Marmalade struggled to keep up.

For The Things’ practice round, the group’s synergy was much smoother, even when Lill opened up about her struggles with the choreography.

The next day, the ladies returned to the workroom to get ready for their performances and impending elimination ceremony.

While painting their faces, La Voix bonded with Lill by playing a hilarious game of quick-fire questions, which resulted in an unexpected lesson about the anatomy of female hyenas.

“I knew Lill was complex, but she’s absolutely barmy,” La Voix said in a confessional. “She blew my mind! The most I’ve ever seen her passionate was when she was talking about female hyenas having fake penises.”

After opening up about their shared appreciation for the horror genre and why the LGBTQIA+ community embraces it, the ladies hit the main stage to deliver their ghoul group performances.

Unsurprisingly, The Things and Dracula’s Child demolished their respective numbers, with each queen delivering unique verses and dynamic choreography that captivated the judges from start to finish.

The queens then showcased their best ‘Call Me Mother Nature’ ensembles before meeting up with the judges’ panels for critiques.

“Welcome, queens. When it comes to your ‘Dead or Alive performances, we’ve never had two girl groups so closely matched,” Ru declared. “So this week, you’ll be judged individually.”

Ru then named Kiki, Lill, Rileasa, Zahirah, Marmalade and Kyran as the tops and bottoms of the week.

While Kiki, Rileasa, and Kyran were praised for their work during their performance and on the runway, the judges gave Marmalade, Lill and Zahirah mixed reviews.

Ultimately, Rileasa was named the winner of the maxi-challenge and the coveted RuPeter badge, while Lill and Zahirah were placed in the bottom.

To the beat of guest judge Mabel’s hit track ‘Don’t Call Me Up’, the Manchester queens laid it all out on the stage, embodying the passionate lyrics, delivering dips and oozing charisma.

After their electric performance, Ru asked Lill to stay and Zahirah to shantay away.

“I’m so upset. Obviously, it just wasn’t my time. I definitely have made my family proud and my dad is watching over me, smiling at me. This ain’t the last you’ve seen of Zahirah. Stay humble bitches,” Zahirah exclaimed during her exit confessional.

On next week’s episode of Drag Race UK, the queens will be appearing on the Graham Norton Show, the touring production.

From the challenge to the runway, the week’s release earned unanimous praise from fans – check out the best reactions below.
