South Carolina bans trans athletes from competing in school sports

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has signed a bill banning trans athletes from competing in school athletics into law. The legislation applies to transgender youth attending public schools and colleges in South Carolina. South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster has urged his state’s Department of Education to remove an “inappropriate” book on gender identity.
