Countries to be removed from UK’s gender recognition list over self-ID laws

A number of countries’ Gender Recognition Certificates (GRCs) will no longer be recognised by the UK government, it has been announced. Petition with almost 140,000 signatures forces parliamentary debate on self-identification

A petition demanding reform to the Gender Recognition Act has triggered a debate on self-identification in the House of Commons.
